On Trend: Neck Scarves

The well known ‘what goes around comes around’ saying is applicable to the best of fashion trends too. The ’70s inspired neck scarf seems to have been rediscovered this Autumn, many years after its first appearance.

A silky scarf adds an instant touch of chic to any outfit and can be worn in many different ways around your neck or as a hair accessory. To add to the versatility, scarves can be worn between seasons too. Spice it up with bold, bright patterns or stick to a pastel inspired simple print. It’s the perfect combination of retro and modern in one. Designers such as Alexander McQueen and Versace have given this latest comeback of the trend the nod by including elements thereof in their Spring/Summer 2018 collections.

Our own Makers have reinvented the up and coming trend in their own unique ways and handcrafted them right here in South Africa. Find all these Makers at our KAMERS/Makers 2019 show in Sandton, Johannesburg 26 April – 1 May.
